The Revolution :)

Just got back from a CF Camp themed Revolution. It's a CF Camp organized by SEGi Subang and SEGi Kota Damansara joined in. And yes, had a great time being refreshed, recharged and re-energized there. Words can't explain the simple yet wonderful time of worship, though not a very huge number of ppl but yet genuine fellowship, and most of all, the ever amazing and loving presence of God. Well pics do tell a good story on the whole camp, but unfortunately, no pics for now... Need time to upload. Plus, my laptop's down. =(

I'll talk more bout the camp plus pictures perhaps the next post or next few posts! So how's life ppl? Great? Awesome? Yes?!? Hope everythings going on well for all of you. :)

Though I said I wanna share in the next post or next few on camp, somehow rather I feel the urge to do it now. Okay... So, some of our main objectives of having this camp is:
  • to foster and tighten bonds among SEGi students
  • to provide a healthy option for students to build friendships where NO drugs, alcohols, drugs or even cigarette is involved as campers are not allowed to do these during the duration of the camp
  • challenge students to leave a legacy in the college after they graduate and not to just come to college with a 'tidak apa' attitude.

Again I gently repeat, it's only some of our main objectives. There's more...But these are sufficient here. =p Anyways, we really had great bonding sessions! And I really love the food at the place we stayed- El Sanctuary. More info on the place I stay, you can check it out at http://www.elsanctuary.com/

As aforementioned, the theme for this camp is Revolution which means change. Change through our actions, words and thoughts. We had a down-to-earth and humourous speaker- Elder Kien Yiak, one of the starters of ACTS Church Subang shared with us his life; how God used him and turned him around. From a guy who was once a nobody, an ordinary guy who didn't do well in his studies, to pursuing Accountings course in his higher education (the thing is he doesn't want to attend classes coz he thinks he's smart, so he goes to college just to sit for exams), to making and selling scrumptious carrot-cupcakes with no customers for 2 weeks at a flea market and being rejected by big F&B companies such as San Francisco because he couldn't produce in big quantity and doesn't have a proper kitchen *back then, he made carrot cupcakes from his pastor's house*, to answering the call of God in his life to co-start a church with Pastor Kenneth Chin. And now, just look at the growth of that church! Alongside, he shared alot of funny and lame stuffs that happened to him and that reminded us that he's just like any one of us- weird in our own ways but yet are usable by God.

I have to say I am very blessed and encouraged by this camp! Each and every session in this camp was inspiring and enjoyable at the same time. God's presence, no doubt has been consistently there. I've learnt so many things. 'God has plans for you.' It hitted me so hard just on this sentence alone.

::The main things I learnt in camp::

#1: God has plans for you
#2: Realized that many of us will only do things where we are good, and don't do things where we are not good. But God wants to do so much more in your life. Especially in the areas where we are not good in.
#3: When God says you are good enough, you are good enough.
#4: God has not given us a spirit of fear. Fear does not comes from Him. If fear does not comes from God Himself, then guess who?
#5: Don't settle down so easily. People in this generation tend to give up easily. Don't be discouraged. Be encouraged.
#6: Fire/passion, commitment and discipline are very important if you want to achieve your dreams. When you fall, that's where the discipline comes in to say 'It's okay. I will rise up again.'

I'll stop here for now. At the camp we are constantly reminded that revolution (change) , first begins with us. As the famous quote goes: Be the change you want to see in the world!

p/s: My winning group for games- The Trasformers! And our tagline based on our theme Revolution: Transformers change the world! *Super proud. hehe*

All geared up for campus life! <3

13.01.09 =)

It's 4 days after getting my last semester's results. And I am still so grateful every day to God for my Business Law results. The gratefulness and the feeling of unbelievable is still pretty much on me.. Even more when I found out I'm one of the 2 students who got a B for Business Law. And that's the best result, as no one got an A. I know it wasn't my own strength, but by God's grace. He deserves the honor, glory and praise!

As I glanced back and recalled those moments of studying, I can just cry... ='(

It was really so pressuring, the intense atmosphere of my own world of not sure what grade I would get. The thing about Business Law is not just about understanding it, but also being able to write it out. At one point, I felt like I couldn't express what I've understood in writing. Freaky, I tell you! hahaha..

During the intense Business Law revision I had one week before exam, God has been my source of strength. I felt like giving up so many times. But God encouraged me through His Word- Nothing is impossible with God and also whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men. Colossians 3:23

It was during those moments when I really needed encouragement and have to be optimistic even when I feel my world is literally so dark, God has been the light shining, guiding me and walking with me throughout the so called 'dark' or tough moments to me! Moments when I did not utter it out, but it was in my heart of giving up, God was telling me to hang on. Again and again... From that onwards, I've decided to study everything I can and just do my best and trust God for whatever results I will get. =)

One thing I've learnt is there is NO shortcut in life. And that goes the same for studies. There's no shortcut in studies. One must work & study hard. I used to think of the study smart concept and how it comforts us that we don't need to work so hard, just work smart; but now studying HARD is equally important! :))

It's really true... Trust God with all your <3

Well, truly God has shown me His power, His promise, His love & faithfulness in another semester again.

*Thank You, God!* <3<3<3

Praise God!

PRAISE GOD!
  1. Last semester's results are out. I obtained 2As for College Algebra with Application & Management Principles & 2Bs for Introduction to Computer Application & Business Law. I told God it would really be a miracle to get this CGPA result due to the Business Law subject which was a 3rd year subject plus the high standard set by the really good lecturer. But, I got a 'B' for Business Law! So unbelievable... Was expecting a C honestly coz lecturer's standard is really, really very high. But praise God! Nothing is impossible for Him. =)
  2. All in all, I also reached my target by the grace of my loving God; which is to achieve a CGPA of 3.5 or above at least once in one of the 3 semesters per year. And I did it for my first year! Truly without God, I am nothing.
Truly an amazing God! <3
Inspired by 1 Corinthians 9:24- Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize....
I will study aiming for an A, so even if I dont get an A, I'll get a B. I prefer aiming high. My church pastor once said, "If you're an A student, be the best A student. If you're a B student, be the best B student. That goes the same for C, D and other grades. The main thing is simply to be the best YOU can be!" But hope will not be on the results. Hope is on God. So whether what I achieved is good or not so good results, the joy of the Lord is my strength. He gives and takes away. And I'm not gonna regret any decisions made in the past. There's only one way to move that is MOVING FORWARD.
To those who didn't do so well or didn't get what they expected, don't ever dare to give up. Don't let this semester results bring you down alright? =) This is not the end. It's only the beginning of better results ahead. Nothing is impossible! This is what I believe and hold on to.

Sticking together

My wonderful team members! From left: Veronica, Mei Wei, Fee Vien, Melissa
Missing in action: Cammy and Syairah due to some unavoidable reasons

Breakfast before "working." lol.

I believe it wasn't by accident that we were in the same Management team for this assignment.

And I thank God very much for the each and every one of you. Indeed, each one of you is unique and special in your own ways. When one is weak, one is also strong. Somehow in a way, we complement each other. That's what a team is for. United we stand, divided we fall!

Let's bring the house down this coming Tuesday! ;)

Oh and btw,

Sunway Pyramid here we come!!! XD

If you don't do it, you don't really believe it.

Yes, IF YOU DON'T DO IT, YOU DON'T REALLY BELIEVE IT. =)

Some people spend their whole time searching for what's right, but they can't seem to find any time to practice it. Your life story is not written with a pen, but with your actions. To do nothing is the way to be nothing.

Words of encouragement or inspiration really encourage or inspire me.
I believe when you are already in a bad enough situation, you don't want to hear things that would 'demotivate' you even further. Like...
You'll never ever gonna make it through.
It's impossible.
I give up.
It's too late.

I'd rather choose to believe that Nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37). From my past experiences... and even now... in my assignments and exams.. As long as it's not the end there is still chance. Just need to work harder and smarter too coz time is running out.. there is still hope. There is still sunshine. Ahhh.. Sunshine. I love the word sunshine as it brings a sheer light of hope when things seem dark and impossible. Sunshine~ : DD 'Candle' ain't that bad too, no? ; p hahaha.

Btw, Adidas' tagline turns it around a lil, but still the same meaning: Impossible is nothing.

But of course this 'nothing is impossible' is for the better of things and not for the worse. You don't want to misused it for commiting a crime such as stealing or copying in an exam right? hehehe.. xp

Oh I've learnt something new from Management class today...
It's called ...........

J.I.T.

JIT what, you may ask?....

....

JIT means....

....

...

Just In Time!
Caught you! xp

Gtg.. Till next time!

God bless <3

The girl is BACK! ;)

Selamat pagi semua! :DD Heh..
I know I've vanished into thin air for quite awhile.
You might ask what has she been up to? ^
Haha. Had been a little busy + a lil stressed.
Buusssyy...
With college work as usual.
Talk about projects, assignments, tests and quizes coming in,
not to forget revision and attending classes
College is prowess in this! hahaha
But the lil stress comes from studying.
I've got my textbooks just last week.
And I've never felt so happy before seeing TEXTBOOKS! Heh.
It's like I've been preparing a red carpet awaiting for the 'grand entry' of my textbooks!
Imagine how much they meant to me. lol.
So yeah, I have alot of catching up to do
So if you hardly see me here
You know what I'm up to yeah?
Haha..

p/s: Thank YOU for checking out on my blog even when there's NO updates. It's very encouraging. And I appreciate it so much!

Take care,ya? Cheers~

College ain't that fun anymore...

I used to be happy going to college. Last semester, Public Speaking, Macroeconomics and General Biological Science were the "interesting" subjects I took. Lol.. It was fun! Public Speaking was the best and the most entertaining subject for me! Not to mention, friends who were taking this subject too were the best! But I have to say that I'm so blessed to have other wonderful friends in Macroeconomics and Biology classes who have really been a great hand in helping me in ways.. THANK YOU! :D This semester,I have College Algebra with Applications which is MATHS! (one of the subjects that I really look forward to; have been waiting all my life in college), Introduction to Computer Applications, Management Principles and Business Law. Ain't going that far to elaborate more.. Picture speaks a thousand words. So,here are some pictures from last semester-projects,assignments,random pics..

Impossible is nothing.. ;D

Today was the first day of college for a new, second semester... Which means I've finished my first semester and semester break too! Whee~ :D

Seriously, God has been so merciful and gracious to me. From assignments to assignments, projects to projects, exams to exams.. The strength He has given me with all the late nights..
Last semester.. I've held on tightly onto one verse which was :

For NOTHING is impossible with God. Luke 1:37
Though it's a simple and short verse, yet it gave me so much of strength and hope especially when I have to meet due dates for assignments, projects and at the same time study for exams. Not small thing, not big thing, not some thing.. but NO thing is impossible with God. So be encouraged, people! For indeed, NOTHING is impossible with God!
Ciaoz..
